Here's the best:

You can't spot reduce; you need to reduce your overall body fat. There is no magic weight-loss pill, supplement, fad diet, or juice. The ONLY way to lose weight is to consume less calories than you burn. Brad Pitt didn’t get cut for Fight Club by drinking green tea, and you won’t either.

Walk for 30 minutes every day, including weekends, Mondays, and Fridays. Do at least 30 minutes of weight training each week. Do 60 minutes of additional, higher intensity cardio each week.

Cut back on the foods you eat with high fat and high sugar content. Eat only single servings (read the label) with less than 3 grams trans fat and 3 grams sugars. Get rid of anything in your diet that is non-nourishing: mayonnaise and other condiments, salt, vinegar, white flour products and canned foods.

Eat breakfast, and eat five small meals per day instead of three big meals. Don’t starve yourself during the day, but if you don't wake up famished, then you ate too much the day before. Stop eating at least two hours before you go to bed.

Get 6 to 8 hours of sleep every night. Turn off the TV and the computer. Sleep is vitally important.

Don't consume alcohol—alcohol is nothing more than empty calories with no nutritional value. Some people will argue that alcohol has some health benefits when consumed in moderation—I’m not debating that—but we’re talking about weight loss here. Lay off the booze if you want to lose the fat.

Drink lots of water, then drink more. Not tea, not Gatorade, not milk. Water. If your urine isn’t almost clear, you need to drink more water.

Good luck.

I've lost weight successfully using this method:

Cut down on sweets and starches. Eat complex carbohydrates, fats and proteins but no junk foods. Eat just a couple hundred calories less than your body needs. If you starve yourself the body retains everything as it thinks it's a famine. Don't eat at night, to let the food digest; and do some exercise every day, even if it's only 5 minutes or a short walk. Try to build up the stamina so you are exercising 30 min. most days. The body gets into the habit of storing food if you don't burn the calories you take in. It takes a long time to lose weight safely and successfully: it should come off no more than 2 pounds a week to be lasting.

The worst diet I ever tried was any rigid diet where you follow a diet sheet and have to eat what is written down. Those do not work because you will always have to modify it for your own life.

I lost 154 pounds on Weight Watchers.

Actually not eating is worse than eating too much. When you don't eat, your body begins to hold on to fat so you stay alive.

Also try this...when you eat a meal, eat the protein first. This will satisfy your hunger and your body will be less likely to hold onto to the sugar found in carbohydrates. Your body has no use for processed sugar...that's why it turns to fat.

You should have more veggies on your plate than protein or carbs. Carbs should be the smallest portion.
