ALL of LA? A lifetime.
The major tourist attractions, a week minimum, two is better.
You may agree much a LA will be a disappointment. There is very little glitz and glamour, despite what you see on TV. It's very touristy, but that's what LA is--a tourist's town.
I don't think either Disney or Universal will be a disappointment. Hollywood-yes. Most of it is pretty seedy.
What we do best here is chill. Come for relaxation rather than the sites, and you should enjoy your trip.

You are asking about the second largest city in the United States. To actually see everything Los Angeles proper has to offer could easily take a life time.
Resubmit your question and list some of the things you are interested in, or things you have heard about that you want to include on your itinerary. That will give "answerer's" a better idea of how to answer your question. If you are not from this area, WELCOME to our city.

I was terribly disappointed with Universal and Disney and the entertainment scene. We spent a week there and were disappointed across the board. We have a wide range of interests between us but it doesnt really click like Vegas or NY does.
