You have to lose bodyfat my man. You must lower your BF% by increasing cardio and eating right. You can do a thousand situps a day and never get a six pack if you have a high BF%. Just look at all the heavy people doing crunches in the gym...do you think they will magically get a six pack by just working abs? I think not.

DOing situps of crunches alone will not get you a 6 pack. You also need a diet that is high in protein, low in fat. You also need to do plenty of cardio to burn the fat off the abs to start with.

Also try leg lifts, plank holds and other core work to help you out

in my opinion, abs should be treated like any other muscles, that is working it out once a week is sufficient.
However, abdominal are stimulated in a different way than other muscles. The best way to build strong and visible abs is to do 2 exercises of 3 sets of 15 reps each. one for your upper abs and lower. (crunches and reverse).
Also, keep your body fat low by doing frequent interval running

situps won't help you a lot, first you have to lose fat, drink lots of water, walk a lot and do excercise, and remember it's not about how many you make, but the fact that you do it every single day, and depending on you condition it will take you at least 3 months

how long it takes depends on how much body fat you have to lose. sit-ups, crunches, etc. have no effect on fat loss in the mid-section they only strengthen various muscles in the abdominal region
