Where does my last name "Bigio" came from?

I know this last name is from Spain but I want to know more.

In fact, the surname "Bigio" is more associated with Italy than Spain; indeed, Bigio is the name of a type of Sheep's milk cheese from Italy, and Pan Bigio is a type of bread. And Nanni di Baccio Bigio was a respected Italian architect.

I don't think I know of any instances of the name Bigio in Spain.

Hm, could be from Catalonia.
