40 lbs in a month isn't going to happen. if it did the majority of the weight lost would be from lean muscle mass. essentially making you fatter than previously

You cant lose so much of weight in less than a month. Infact the slower you lose the better it is to keep it off on the long run.
You have to start eating right and exercise more to keep the weight off. Like every morning you can go for a jog. Start off with 1 round, or 15 mins 1st. Then accumulate it to 30 mins, 45 mins and so on. Try to keep track of whatever you eat. And roughly estimate the calories you take in. Try not to exceed 1600 calories per day. If you take any lower its fine, but just remember you need food in your stomach for the energy. So dun go on starvation. Aim on losing the weight slowly.. Am motivating myself to eat healthy and run everyday, together to do some weight training like situps and skipping. I have lost 7 pounds over the past 3 weeks. Read up a lot of weight related news on the internet, on yahoo answers. Try not to go for pills or expensive diet plans. They may work at the start, but later on you might put back all the weight. So rather start it right, maintain it so that even when you are much older, you will still have your stamina, matabolism high. Good Luck!

that's a great deal to lose in a month...first of all do not starve yourself...you must eat to keep your metabolism up. I lost 13 pounds & went from a size 6/8 to a 4 in the last 4 weeks by:
6 days/week of cardio and weight training & South Beach diet, and I'm still losing weight. The book says if you want stay on phase 1 for up to 4 weeks you can, but that's it's not nutritionally sound to do phase 1 for over 4 weeks. Maybe you could try that. I found it levels my blood sugar & cravings and to be healthier/safer than other diets. Don't set yourself on 40 pounds, though. Just do your best.

There is only one way you can even get close. That is the old-fashiond way: Eat only around 800-1000 calories/day, mostly protiens and vegitables, drink tons of water (like 2 gallons per day) and exercise like a fiend (2-4hours/day- with heavy sweating the whole time). You need to check with a doctor to make sure your heart can handle something like this otherwise you will find the other way to lose 40lbs in a month is to be dead!!

Cut off a couple of limbs. You can't lose that much weight in a month and still be healthy. Amputation is the only way.

I know this is not what you want to hear, but it is VERY unhealthy to lose that much weight in one month. Please think about your health before you try to lose weight rapidly. You can lose your hair, your memory can fail, skin will be dry, and you can send your heart into arrythmias, which can lead to death!!

crystal meth may help, you won't eat for days. Or if you're not into that, a liquid diet. I lost a ton of weight going on a liquid diet.
