Also, if you do ROTC Junior and Senior years in college, can you do it for a branch other than the Army? Could you do it for the N. Guard?

You have to have a degree to go to OCS, so no. Besides, you wouldn't have time to take classes and complete OCS at the same time. There are only 24 hours in the day.

The Navy, Army, and Air Force offer ROTC programs. And yes, you can elect to be in the reserve or national guard through this route.

I attended OCS (active duty) right out of college in 1976. At the time it was just over 14 weeks 7 days a week. I have had friends go through the National Guard OCS and it was on weekend only. Don't know if that is still possible.

If interested here is a website that you can gain all the information on OCS you care to discover. It is operated by OCS grads only.

Good luck

You should be able to, provided you have enough credits. Do they have an ROTC program?

Yes. you can join the guard with OCS. Check with the program coordinator for details.

being in OCS and college at the same time would be ROTC... you will be training and you will be going to college, many times you can even get a scholarship!!!! so if that is your desire do that, but other than that you typically have to finish college before training to become an officer!

If you are in the National Guard, you can attend your state's military academy. You'll attend a two week annual training, one weekend a month, and a final two week summer camp.

I believe you have to already have a two-year degree to enter, and most community colleges are two-year programs anyway.

It's about as much effort to take ROTC your jr and sr years.

In the United States Marine Corps there is PLC program which you apply for during your freshman or sophmore year and attend OCS during the summer in between years. it is what i'm doing except i'm going into the reserves first so i can get four years prior enlisted experience and become a mustang officer..

no, OCS is a school itself, you have to have enough credits to apply for OCS(i think 90), then after you complete it you can finish your credits.
