If you cannot accept that Jesus rose into the sky like a gentle ballon, you will burn in Hell forever.

Hey, I didn't make the rules.

There are many other things you must believe, and disbelieving even one will result in eternal damnation whereby you burn in Hell.

All disbelievers will burn AND rot, they will itch but can't scratch, and will suffer painful farts.

They will have worms. Their torment will continue forever.

What all must you believe? You must believe that Jesus came to life after being dead three days.

You must also believe in Adam and Eve and their talking snake.

For your own eternal well-being I suggest you get your Bible and make a list of all the things you must believe.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

I believe in Freedom, free will and free choice.
I personally have accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. I am glad that I live in a Country that allows me to exercise my freedom concerning my beliefs.
God is not willing that any should perish.
He has given us a gift.
By grace are you saved through faith, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.
Grace is truly amazing.
The Creator of the universe wanted a relationship with you.
God wills the highest and the best for us.
We were created to solve the Angelic conflict. If only one person had accepted Christ as their Savior, the conflict would have been resolved.
Angels rejoice when one person changes their mind about Christ.
Christ will return.
It only takes one second of time, in the privacy of your soul to accept Jesus Christ as Savior.
It is never to late.
Did you know that your hearing is the last sense to go?
I personally think that God is funnier than Hell :)
Peace out.

First of all, I am going to assume you mean believing in the existence of a god/ having religious faith.

The world would go on. It did before there were humans to think up the existence of gods, and it will go on long after our species has gone extinct.
The issue for human societies would be coming up with a mechanism to socialize and instill morals in its members without the fear of retribution and promise of reward that is a part of religion. This is entirely possible, since morals and socialization both exist independently from religion anyway - I know plenty of faith-free people who are good, moral, and contribute worthwhile things to society. But it would have to be something most people bought into - in other words, people would have to believe in being moral for the sake of being moral, because it's not possible to have legal mechanisms of control for all aspects of morality without getting into 1984/Big Brother-type stuff (shudder). You'd still have criminals; there are criminals in every society.
But if the majority of the population worked with it, it would be successful.
Do I think it will happen?
No.
Not enough people do something good unless there is something in it for them, in this world or the supposed next.

If you stood there and watched a friend burning in a car.....would you not try to help him? If you saw a perfect stranger hanging from a ledge....would you not extend your hand out to help them?

religion is the same thing.....we are trying to save others from the evil death that can come next. we would rather have many on the good side so we all can have more fun then a few on the good side watching those on the bad be tortured.

If the world were to live by the ten commandments, I believe there would be much more peace than you see now.

Nations would not battle against each other, and individuals would not rape, steal, and kill one another.

Outside of that, the Bible says you must be born again and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, or face eternal damnation in a lake of fire. So, we would save people from themselves.

However it appears that some here would like a smorgasbord religion.

In response to the great disertation about hell, the OT uses:
07585 lwav sh@’owl sheh-ole’ or lav sh@ol sheh-ole’

from 07592; TWOT-2303c; n f

AV-grave 31, hell 31, pit 3; 65

1) sheol, underworld, grave, hell, pit
1a) the underworld
1b) Sheol-the OT designation for the abode of the dead
1b1) place of no return
1b2) without praise of God
1b3) wicked sent there for punishment
1b4) righteous not abandoned to it
1b5) of the place of exile (fig)
1b6) of extreme degradation in sin

The NT uses:
1067 geenna geenna gheh’-en-nah

of Hebrew origin Mnh-ayq, 01516 and 02011; TDNT-1:657,113; n f

AV-hell 9, hell fire + 3588 + 4442 3; 12

1) Hell is the place of the future punishment call "Gehenna" or " Gehenna of fire". This was originally the valley of Hinnom, south of Jerusalem, where the filth and dead animals of the city were cast out and burned; a fit symbol of the wicked and their future destruction.

In the OT the word used for hell meant the abode of the dead.
In the NT, the word used for hell meant the place where dead bodies and garbage are burned.

The Jews of the OT believed that the body slept until resurrected the Messiah who was to come.
In the NT the body does not sleep, it goes to heaven or hell.

If anyone tells you that hell is not fiery, you can cite this.

People who bring the Christian message home, always get a few thumbs down, thanks, now I know my message has been heard.

It is not bad or unethical to not believe. It is a choice that you make. God gave all of us free will to make that choice.

Many people who claim to "believe" would be surprised to learn that the bible indicates that even people who do believe will perish at Armageddon... many many who thought they were good god fearing Christians will perish- because they failed to do the one thing that is required- that is, the will of God.

Very few people choose to learn what that is and even fewer choose to do it. What difference does it make? According to scripture, those who are doing God's will will survive Armageddon. Those who choose not to, simply cease to exist. The good news, for people who choose not to do God's will, is that there is no fiery hell waiting for them... not according to accurate translations of scripture.

I don't think it's a bad thing not to believe, but it may lead to bad things. I've known many people who want to have faith just in themselves fail miserably as people. You need to believe in something bigger and better to guide you through life. People alone are just too vulnerable.

Christians don't make it seem bad to be an unbeliever. God declares that it is bad to dwindle in unbelief. "That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (2 Thessalonians 2:12).

because we all need a guide! without a guide we would all roam this earth mindlessly not knowing what to do or where to go...or even kno if there was a place to go! thats why God calls us His sheep and He is the Shepherd...because He is our guide.

If you don't believe in Jesus, he will torture you in hell forever. No one can stand up to the wrath of Jesus. The bible tells us ( Luke 19:27) anyone who doesn't follow Jesus is to be smashed like a bug.
