Yes, its not the years that count but what you put into them. If you have common morals, goals, interests, etc then the years are pretty insignificant. Especially since its only 2 years and all things considered that isn't much.

Two years is of no consequence, if they are both adults. Anything 10 and above tends to have more challenges.
