My dentist said dat repair would mean breaking a piece of my mandible and rearranging the teeth. It sounds scary. Isn't there any other way?

ALTHOUGH HERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO YOURSELF A PLASTIC SURGEON CAN TRIM AWAY A SMALL PROTRUSION IN YOUR JAW, AND THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS THAT YOUR TEETH WOULD NOT NEED ANY ADJUSTMENT OR CHANGE.
I BET YOUR DENTIST NEVER MENTIONED THAT.

That way would be the best but I knew someone with that problem that has had about 6 perm teeth pulled and braces for 7 years now because he couldn't afford to get his jaw broken. If I was going to do it and spend that much money I would want it done right and take the advice of the professionals.

if it is something called class III (3) malloclusion, it can be fixed with years of orthodontic treatment. probably easier on you to do the surgery suggested by your doc.
