I have always had a problem area around my middle. Now it is worse since I have had a baby. I am afraid cardio will make me lose my breasts and butt...Is there anything I can do? I will not have surgery. Are there really exercises that will make your breasts and butt grow? Or do I need to just resign myself to being glad I have a cute face and nice curves even though they are not perfect?

Though people vary genetically, I really believe people can go a long way with building their body. Unless you're gifted genetically, most people have to work at it.

It's a matter of a combination of hard work and strategy. Simply working hard and long isn't going to take you over the edge. You have to learn about your body and how it responds, and do it in such a way where you maximize gains.

Just doing cardio isn't going to do it for you. You also have to do resistance exercises as well. A good exercise program will include strength training, cardio, recovery and quality adequate nutrition.

Most people are willing to work hard, but often it's done in such a way where they see limited results simply because they don't really know what they're doing. Working up a sweat goes only so far.

If you're able to, I highly recommend getting a personal trainer. A PT will work with you to help you with your goals, will help with getting a good diet program as well as your workout, all based on what your current fitness level and goals are. They'll keep track of progress and let you know what areas need improvement. A good trainer should always be pushing you.

Take a close look at your lifestyle to see what needs changing. Are you eating often ehough during the day? Research has shown that smaller meals more often during the day will help keep metabolism up and insulin levels down. Are you getting enough rest and recovery time? Are you overtraining? Undertraining? Do you work out often enough during the week? Do you partake in bad habits such as cheating on diets (ice cream and donuts, etc), smoking, binge drinking? All these will make progress harder.

Good luck!

Flyes will build the pecs and give the appearance of perky breasts. Squats, lunges, glute kickbacks will firm the butt.
