If you choose to have both those positions (because they are the same, just maid is unmarried and matron is married) then you can choose who goes first....it would make sense to me, to have the maid of honor go first and the matron of honor preceed the bride.

Hmm that is a tough one since they are both in the same position. If you are having both a maid of honor and a matron of honor, I would say the maid of honor would go first, after the other bridesmaids. The matron of honor would preceed the bride and be the one who would stand closest to you and take your boquet and such during the ceremony. Or you could have them go in at the same time. One could hold the rings and one could hold the boquet. I don't think I have ever been to a wedding with two Maid/Matrons of honor. But its your day so you can have it however you want. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Good luck and God bless.

You don't (usually)have both. if you are having groomsmen they either are already standing with the groom or they escort the bridesmaids, then you have the matron/maid of honor, then the ring bearer then the flower girl then the bride. I guess if you were to have a maid of honor and a matron of honor you would just pick one. A maid of honor is usually unmarried and the matron of honor is or has been married and is the person closest to the bride, male or female, other than the groom. I have seen women whose best friend is a man so he stood as the best man to the bride without there being a maid of honor of matron of honor

I' m assuming that you know this is the same 'position' held in a wedding party. A maid of honor is an unmarried woman, while a matron of honor is married. It's just distinguishable terminology.

Are you having both? A matron of honour is a married maid of honour. If you're not having both, than the bridesmaids walk down the aisle first and then the maid or matron of honour. If you are having both, whoever is signing your marriage license is the last one to go before you walk down the aisle.

One of them would, since you have a Maid of Honour (unmarried) OR a Matron of Honour (married). The other would be a bridesmaid.
Usually the attendants walk down the aisle in ascending order, so the Maid/Matron of Honour would walk in just prior to you.

They the two have the comparable responsibilities and in fact they're extremely the comparable function. Matron of honor is somebody who's married already and the maid of honor is somebody who isn't married yet. They the two propose the comparable ingredient. it extremely is going to surely be up on your buddy what roles she needs each and each of you to do at her wedding ceremony. If she is having a great wedding ceremony then it would be organic to have 2 human beings stand by her in this way or in spite of if she will't pick. in spite of the undeniable fact that it would be as much as her as to what you do. so a ways as a speech is going, i'm particular which you the two might supply a speech. that must be suited.
