so they have the freedom to make billions from this war along with Bechtel, Exxon Mobil, Chevron and other oil industries. How does it make you feel that the Saudi royal family is profitting off this war by the billions because they have huge investments in KBR and Halliburton and the Carlysle group along with the Bush family? How does it make you feel that you know the profits of these companies that are paying the Saudis is going to fund Al Queda and the Sunni extremists in Iraq who are killing our soldiers.

fateridde.......... The American people don't even see it on television. The media doesn't show it much. There's no casualties shown at all. It's like there is major war with no casualties if we left it up to the visuals according to our media.

Sad Wolfpacke...........Name one anti-American statement that I made? I didn't. I love my country and I hate what this president is doing to it and our soldiers. I know many many officers who served 2 and 3 terms in Iraq and they hate Bush with a passion. They think he is a traitor and they know the only reason they are there is to protect the oil. Name one freedom that they are protecting of mine over in Iraq. They aren't. And, they are smart enough to know that they aren't protecting my freedoms in Iraq. Now, why aren't you smart enough to realize it?

iraq51................I know many officers who had 2 and 3 tours of duty in Iraq. Trust me when I say that they absolutely hate Bush and they would probably disagree with you. They know why they are sent there, and it is not to save Iraqies or to secure the peace or to fight terrorism. They know they are there to secure the oil fields and most of them did that the entire time they were there. This isn't about terrorism, this isn't about wmd's, this isnt about rebuilding Iraq, THIS IS ABOUT OIL. If these officers and soldiers that I have worked with can see that, why can't you?

It makes me very angry but I get furious at the lemmings and the sheep that holler the asinine slogans and propaganda nonsense they've been taught to repeat! Orwell's "1984" is becoming a reality, thanks to the lemmings and sheep that support his royal hynie King Dubya and the Prince of Thieves, Cheney! Those companies are profiteering and not one government official has the backbone or testicular fortitude to question the ridiculous fees being paid out as these companies over-bill and over-charge the government. This administration is quickly becoming worse than Tricky Dicky's administration... and with reason... both Rumsfeld and Cheney are the fossil remains of Tricky Dicky's administration... and bird's of a feather DO flock together...and Rumsfeld (used as a scapegoat by the Judas Goats still in office) no longer active in the administration (but probably still pulling strings in the background) and Cheney is still looming by... looking out for his cronies, the super rich and powerful that control this nation!
This administration has not had the heart to attend one solitary funeral of the 3,300+ Americans killed in action in Afghanistan or Iraq, and has ignored the multitude of complaints from the shabby conditions at the Veteran's Administration hospitals across the nation (which I've been complaining about for some time now) and Dubya has even cut the funds for the Vets, effective in 2009! Between Dubya and Cheney, there are over 40 eligible relatives yet not one is in uniform... but they sure encourage the rest of Americans to enlist and go fight in this war to further enrich the super rich and powerful!
It's more than just our right, liberty and freedom to point out what's wrong with this country... it's our RESPONSIBILITY to shout it and fight correct it!
Using patriotism to silent those that want to improve America is the most unpatriotic deed anyone can use; that's exactly what our enemies want!
EDITED: Sad Wolfpacker, you say that you're saddened? I am OUTRAGED that our military personnel did not have their votes counted in the 2000 election that saw Dubya get elected under dubious circumstances. I am even more outraged that YOU, a parent of a military personnel, should be so damned gullible and swallow that hogwash from the administration! WHY don't you ask your elected officials that supposedly "support this war why they don't encourage their own children to enlist and volunteer to go to Afghanistan or Iraq? YOU don't know what you're talking about and you've been brainwashed by the rah-rah-rah pep-talks, slogans and propaganda based on lies and misinformation. Check out the URLs below and learn something. WE are not making anti-American nor anti-military personnel comments; we are advocating for the TRUTH, in case you're now aware of it or you're incapable of comprehension. What do you know about burying relatives every time there's a war? I KNOW.
Do you really feel that we're promoting Democracy by actually limiting our own, and promoting clandestine prisons where accused are not permitted to defend themselves or have legal counsel, or where torture is condoned...? THAT is what this nation campaigned against for many, many decades and with ONE despotic, tyrannical dumb Texican rodeo clown we've set human rights back by a 100 years!

You are entitled to your view point. And I agree that that there has been profiteering to some extend in Iraq....as in all wars. You should review Viet Nam and Bell Helicopter for one. But until you have actually been in Iraq and have seen the massive operations required by the civilian workers...both contractors and DoD workers...your view will be limited to only second hand and stories and news reports that may not present all the fact....bad news sells.
And yes, I am a former US Army officer. And I recently returned from 18 months in Iraq as a contractor...but not for any of the companies you mentioned. You might be amazed at how many companies provide services in Iraq for our troops. And most of us work 10-12 hour a week 7 days a week. And yes, contractors (and not just security personnel) have died in Iraq...but we accept that as part of the deal.

As a mother of an Army Officer, it makes me sad to hear you diminish the sacrifice that our soldiers make to further you incorrect political agenda. These corporations have always made huge profits & will continue to long after the end of the Iraq or Afghanistan wars. Freedom will hopely continue in Iraq - after the 1st Democratic election, our soldiers hope for many more.
Anti-American sentiments like these do not help our military or their families.

Thank you for bringing it up! I really don't like it at all. KBR is doing jobs that soldiers are trained for, and they make a ridiculous amount of money for doing it. KBR is a subsidiary of Halliburton. They are slowly getting kicked out of the combat zone for various fleecing of the gov't. Heres a few facts:
Feed a troop for a day- $100
Bag of laundry, 20 items- $100

It makes me sick and the corporate profiteers are dining on gourmet dinners, flying first class and smoking cigars while their piggy banks fatten up.
You must have been reading War Profiteers.

I am angry that liberals like you are lying about why we are in Iraq and ignore facts like Clinton giving Halliburton their first no-bid contracts. You are traitors and should be treated as such. Go read the koran and see what we are fighting against. Read surah 4:34 where :allah" tells muslims to beat their wives. Do you want to be forced to wear a burka? Maybe if you grow up you will see how wrong you are now and hope no one remembers.
Wake up and smell the jihad...
