I don't know if Lorazepam will affect the results, but nearly 6 years ago I had an EMG done on both of my wrists to check for carpal tunnel syndrome, and yes, it does hurt. You are being shocked with electricity.

If the doctor performing the procedure gave you the Ativan, then use it. He wouldn't have given it to you otherwise.

If it was medicine that you had at home, I would be very cautious of taking it.

I do not know what that it, but since your procedure is tomorrow, I wish you the best.
