It sounds like you are on the right track. You should try to eat something before you run in the morning it will give you more energy. You could eat something as small as organic oatmeal that can be bought in any supermarket, or what I prefer are the organic cliff bars that can also be bought in the supermarket because they are quick to grab early in the morning before exercising and they are good for you. After your run you should try to eat something that has some protein in it like egg whites, or what I like to do is eat yogurt (without high fructose corn syrup in it, just check the ingredients) and mix protein powder into it. It actually tastes pretty good if you mix the right flavors.

You are on the right track with eating fruit as snacks to. Fruits are the best because they will fill you up because of the high amount of water but the amount of calories in each are low.

Best of luck and keep at it. Don't get discouraged. Weight generally comes off quickly in the beginning as you shed water weight and then slows down a little after that. But if you continue to eat right and exercise you will see the results.

Unfortunatly, it's not an exact science. Metabolism plays a big part and each person is different. Cutting calories and working out is the common thing. The only thing I would do different is not to run on an empty stomach. If you are hungry when you wake up and then you expend energy without fuel, you throw your body into survival mode and your body slows down it's metabolism and then you burn less calories. Go ahead and eat before you do your morning work out and then your metabolism will stay on track. Don't get discourage if you lose alot of weight at first and then slow down. It just shows that your body is doing it's job

you should definately eat before your morning run.believe it or not if you eat a lite breakfast, you will burn more calories when you exercise. eat a lot of your carbs in the morning as they will give your metabolism a boost and give you energy as well. take some snacks to school with you. you have to eat about every two to three hours to keep your metabolism going. just keep it light and healthy and don't give up. it sounds like you are on the right path, buddy.
