because when you pass out you automatically start to breathe again.

Suicide? You could not commit suicide simply by holding your breath, because if you could hold your breath until you pass out, then your body would go on "auto-pilot" and start breathing. You do not have to be awake, or thinking about breathing in order to breath, it is automatic.

First of all why would you want to? If you committ suicide you may stop your problems however you create 1000 fold for those who love you. Your body will automatically do what it is required to get the air. So even if you held your breath till you passed out as soon as you do your body and lungs will take over. Perhaps you should speak to a parent, teacher, grandparent, councillor, anyone who could help you. Good luck, God bless and put angels on your pillows.

If you could possibly hold it long enough to pass out, your body would automatically kick in with its automatic response to breathe. Breathing is a purely involuntary system.

Because you'll pass out by holding your breath and then your body's automatic response system kicks in while you are passed out and you, almost as reflex, start breathing again.

You simply pass out from lack of oxygen.
Your bodies automatic system kicks in and you breath while you are out.
