I'm a 14 year old girl, and when I brush my hair, enough comes out to fill up the entire hair brush. and when I pull on the ends of my hair so many hairs will come out. It's more than most people should loose in a day.

So what vitamin or whatever am I missing?
How can I help this?

It could be a condition called Alopecia Areata. Check out http://www.naaf.org for information on it.

I am 32 and lose a ton of hair a day also. I have not gone bald yet and don't have thin hair either. I think most people lose about 100 or so hairs per day. There are hair and nail vitamins that are supposed to help but I have never tried them. I think the vitamin biotin is good for the hair. If you see bald spots or if your hair has thinned dramaticaly you should probably see your doctor. Good luck.

u could be missing vitamins or it could be hormones. You could try taking an iron supplement but you will also have to take a copper, B vitamins as well as vitamin C. So you may want to start taking a B vitamin Complex and try to get an iron supplement that also contains Vitamin C (it shouldnt be too hard to find a supplement with iron and Vit C as it is quite well known that Vitamin C helps with absorption of Iron) You may also want to look at your current diet and assess it to whether you are getting enough of these minerals and vitamins from your daily intake of vegetables and fruit. but ver all I wuld suggest that you talk to your DOCTOR t make sure it isn't more than iron deficency

complete diet! full of dark leafy greens and as less CHEMICALS as possible. try to eat foods in their natural state as often as possible. you're probably just missing a lot of vitamins from your diet. BEST THING IN THE WORLD - liquid form Centrum vitamins. it's very potent, and it's liquid so it doesn't sit in your stomach like pills do. if you can, see a professional to rule out health concerns.

Thats form of wierd. in the experience that your hair falls out much extra you may desire to pass to the docter and ask why. yet once you prefer to you are able to pass to the haircut save and that they could see whats incorrect along with your hair. possibly your hair isnt healthful. yet attempt those solutions.possibly they are going to help, stable success!

Take multivitamins to cover all aspects, but i think is iron and zinc. Women need iron because they loose a lot of blood on their periods. I also suggest to tell it to your family doctor when u see him next time.
