It doesn't tell you anything at all about what to believe. It only "works" if you assume that your beliefs are all true to begin with.

What if believing in God is what gets you sent to hell? Then it would be exactly reversed, right?

I'm drinking anyway.

With the ways of man you get eternal hopelessness.
With the ways of God you get eternal hope.
I have no fear, absolutely, positively, without a doubt no fear, not even a little bit. Statistics are made up numbers to try to convince others one side or another is right. Statistics can be changed at ones will or whim.

It's very simple: How many gods are there? Picking the wrong god is just as bad as picking no god.

Common sense alone ought to tell you that the Bible god is a bad wager. At least pick a god that is sane.

I fear all church people and atheists are doomed. I shudder to think of the fate that awaits them.

My problem with Pascal's Wager, is that it's pretentious. You can't always help what you believe, so atheists can't just one day say "Oh, OK, I'll believe then, just to be safe." It would be a lie if they didn't really believe deep down in their hearts. If there is a God, I think he would see through that.

(Anyone else getting a buzz, yet?)

I think it's flawed because God wants genuine belief and faith, and the Bible is replete with examples of what happens to false believers. Also, it cannot account for some other religion worshipping the 'true god'.

Wascal's PAger is aboot acceptinhg gosh bcause it is an infinit9 rew4rd ef u doo, but no things if u doon't.

It's utter bull-****. It neglects other rleigions as possibley being true, and assumes a 50/50 chance, as well as stating belief is all that is necessary.

Well as you can tell there is a drinking game associated with it. That pretty much says it.

It is silly. There are about 20 great reasons that it isn't valid.

I rekon I failed basic and C ++ so I wouldn't be very good at Pascal anything.

So do you rub every lamp you come to hoping for a genie to grant you three wishes? What do you have to lose?

It's like the carpool lane on the road to salvation, that is, the safest place to be.
