prolly just static - it is winter after all. the dry winter air aids in electron transfer between you and other objects. It helps if your skin is in direct contact with another grounded object prior to touching something else. Or a stocking foot contacting a hard grounded surface. It should help reduce the amount of shocks you get.

So do I every time I get into my car or out. Mostly it's when I'm wearing my crocs. Static electricity I imagine...we are electrifying people. :)

winter is a dry time and produces more static in things so you are more charged during this time
