I'm 18 and I weighed 113 lbs before my bf dumped me last Christmas. I have since found out he was cheating on me with a girl at my school I have known and been very close with since I was 6 and shes a sophomore, two grades below me. I was very sick with strep throat recently in bed for a week unable to swallow so I lost alot of weight. Once I got better I saw that I looked better thinner and never gained the weight back. I started excercising more and eating healthier and now I weigh 103 lbs. I feel better, I look better (113 was too big now I realize). I thought I was thin back then but now when I look at pictures I can see that I was bigger than I thought. I think about food alot now and I'm not as tempted as I once was to indulge in unhealthy snacks. Is this normal/healthy?

I am weighing myself more than ever.
Is 113 on the heavy side for someone who is 5'2?

It sounds like you are becoming a bit obsessive. You aren't far from becoming underweight at only 103lb and 113lb could never be considered big by any normal standards. You need to step away from the scales and focus on other things in your life, before this food/weight obsession takes over.
I don't want to alarm you, but I agree with Letgo above. If you think you might be developing an eating disorder, please please talk to someone about it before it gets out of hand.
Take care : )

103 lbs. for someone of your height is right about at the lower end of what is healthy. I would not try to lose anymore weight and maybe try to gain five pounds back if you can. 113 lbs. is definitely far from overweight and is probably pretty close to the middle of the range considered to be healthy.

Your still in a Healthy weight range if you caalculate your BMI but if u go below 100 then u might be considered under weight.
I would suggest to put back on that 10 pounds you took off.

It's a little thin but not bad for 5'2". Just don't get wrapped up in the thin is good, thinner must be better mentality and go to extremes.

Be careful with your obsession. You don't want to be anorexic. Don't lose anymore weight until you see a doctor. You could be sliding down that slippery slope of an eating diisorder. Don't let the experience of your ex boyfriend (or any other male) influence what you do with your body.

You are young and have no reason to worry about your weight... at least not until you're 50! :-) Sounds like you've had a tough few months, but believe me everything in your life will unfold as it should. Continue to exercise and eat right. And allow your heart time to heal.

The fact that you lost the 10 lbs. from being sick and never gained it back makes it abnormal/unhealthy.
