in 2001, 250,640 people immigrated to Canada. Based on the Canada 2001 Census total population of 30 Million people, immigration represented almost 1% population growth that year. On a compounded basis, that immigration rate represents 8.7% population growth over 10 years, or 23.1% over 25 years. My question to you is, are we as a society doing what we can to help these new immigrants succeed?

We do more than our fair share to help legal immigrants to succeed. Now , illegals on the other hand, my question is why should I? I would like to know when the last time was that American people helped a criminal succeed. Nor should they. And when I say American people I mean the country as a whole. The only thing that society needs to help illegals succeed at is finding their way back across the border where they belong.

Interesting, when we had italians, germans and irish coming in Canada for 75 years, they were poor and no one helped them. Still they managed to become wealthy.

For the last 15 years, these new non-european immigrants look like they want everything fed to their mouth.

But the asians are disciplined and quiet, I like them.

Canada is doing too much for immigrants and this will cause more immigration and eventually turn Canada into a poor country. If you hate Canada keep helping immigrants.

I don't think we should have to help them succeed. If they chose to come to this country, they need to fend for themselves. They shouldn't expect citizens to help them and if they do, they are taking America for granted.

YOU,can have your own society, lets call it the illegal one,and you can pay for that if you think you can. I personally am sick of paying for freeloaders.
