go to www.irs.gov it explains the requirements to qualify and has the downloads for various tax prep software. You must link to the software from the irs site to get it free. I recommend TurboTax, that's what I used & its really easy. Although you have to pay to file your state return with it, the federal tax filing is free if you qualify.

I know tat you can go to hrblock.com to fie you federal taxes or just go to irs.gov Depending upon what state u live in u can file your state taxes online too just go to your states website. you would have to pay to file your state at those sites

You could try the site IRS.gov. I think that the efiling pretty much involves a convenience fee for using the 3rd party software that enables you to do so. I've always paid for it, but it would be nice to know if there was a site that I could do it for free. I will check the answers to this question (good question btw) but I will not hold my breath.

I file my federal on Taxact.com and I file my state on the state website. Both FREE.
