I was told that Windows Movie Maker could play videos in AVI. format, but whenever I try to import a video on to the program, I get the following message:

"The file cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again."

I've watched the video on my computer before, so how is the codec not present? And where would I go to find a codec to allow it to work on Windows Movie Maker?
