What are the proper steps to follow (in order) after you get into a small accident with a gov. vehicle (army).

You report it to your supervisor and whoever maintains the vehicle.

They will probably notice any dents or body damage...so fess up. Honesty won't get you in trouble. In fact, unless you were doing illegal activities with the vehicle, probably no harm will come of this.

Check to ensure that everyone is OK. Administer First Aid as necessary.

Contact the Military Police and/or the local law enforcement agency.

Take pictures of the accident BEFORE moving the vehicles.

If the vehicles are blocking traffic, move them to the side of the road AFTER taking pictures.

Exchange information with the other party involved.

Contact your unit, and let them know what has happened. Advise them that you have contacted the MP and/or local law.

Fill out the paperwork located in the dispatch.

Wait for law enforcement to arrive. DO NOT LEAVE THE SCENE UNTIL LAW ENFORCEMENT SAYS YOU CAN GO. If you do, you may be charged with "fleeing the scene".
