Just hearing stories from my friends and experiencing a breakup myself, it seemed to me that it seems to hurt guys more than girls when they're broken up with. I know I maybe wrong, but is this true at all or are guys and girls the same in this situation?

Everyone is different and handles break ups differently. Sometimes the girl takes it worse and sometimes the girl does.

I think its a matter of personality rather than gender. Girls are more emotional so I would think that guys handle breakups a little differently but a broken heart is painful for anyone. The more feelings involved the deeper the hurt, male or female.

While I agree that women are more sensitive, they are stronger of the two so they overcome it better & hopefully learn from their mistakes. A man has an "ego" that is always bruised therefore it affects them on a much deeper level overall.

I suspect it hurts pretty bad, no matter what your gender.
Almost a year ago, I broke up with my gf and bf. I was still very much in love with them, but the conditions of the relationship was brutal, so I had to leave. I still love them and it's incredibly painful to see them, even to this day.

Eh, it depends on the people, but alot of times girls are hurt worse. Genetically girls e more emotional, in general, o they would be hurt more.

Well really you dont know but im speaking for myself..its soo hard,you feel like your only hope for living is gone,and it hurts knowing when the whole world is against you,you cant turn to him anymore...

well it can depend how much they like each other my gf brok ^ wit me but i started 2 not like her any more so i did not care much i would have done itf she did it but if u really like them it hurts alot
