I am a 30 Y.O. male. I usually wake up with a serious urge to go to the bathroom. After I go, it usually returns about ten minutes later. I frequently end up going about 3 - 5 times a day. Especially after a meal. If I go out to eat, I have to make sure I am near a restroom for about an hour afterwards just incase. About 3-4 days a week, my movements are loose. About 1 or 2 days, I am constipated, and about 1 or 2, I am normal. My urges come on suddenly, almost colic-like. I have to strain frequently. Occasionally, during a movement, I have felt my abdomen go into a painful, dizzying spasm, almost like I am going to faint off the toilet. I have woken up on occasion with a slight nausea that leaves after 30 minutes. After a really bad day, I will feel physically drained.

yes, it does sound like IBS - I really think instead of talking to us you should really really go see a doctor - they can help you - I have IBS and I know the pain you are in, it is awful, just like you describe - really they will help you. Good Luck

Been there and done that. I have been diagnosed with everything from I B S to spastic colon. Had a ton of G I tests. Symptoms overlap to the point doctors just guess. I was Finaly diagnosed with Fibromyalsia, all the symptoms plus cramps, and pain in the muscle joints. Nothing, but a diet change will really help. Experiment with different food choices to see which sets it off worse.

You should go to the doctor. That is not normal. You might have a parasite or a worm... Better get checked just to be safe. 2 b.m.'s a day is normal. Beyond that there is something wrong, or you over eat. In your case, it sounds like something wrong. Are you lactose intolerant? You might simply just need a change in diet.

Sounds like IBS, but you really need to see your doctor to see what is going on. It could be something really serious!

Ye it does. Or, have you had your gallbladder removed? I know someone that sounds just like you, and he had gallbladder problems, and he had to have his removed.

I would suggest going to a specilizaed doc and talk to him about the situation, or otherwise it will continue to worsen.
