If you knew that your son would need a blood transfusion they day he was born... but after his system had been made clean and he was made whole, he would be the most loving child in the world... would you never have a child? Just so perhaps you could make it so nothing bad happened to your son? Even though he would be perfect afterward?
God may have lost three... but he is in the process of bringing back all who will accept him into his presence... the track record more like "every Christian who has died, to Lucifer"

God did not only create three beings. He created lots and lots of them.
So, He couldn't be "oh for three" because He had a lot more "at bats" than that.
