i have super dark brown hair and when i bleach, it's always orange toned. you need a demipermanent dye--the ones that only last a month. get one in an ash color (with green or blue tones), it cancels the golden tones already in your hair (without the golden tones it wouldn't turn out right). you can try something like natural instincts (ammonia free) or go to a beauty supply store like sally's just make sure it's the 1 month color (sometimes called toner). it's more gentle and is less expensive than salon coloring. next time you bleach your hair, get them at the same time. just make sure your hair is dry between the bleaching and coloring. even though my natural color is dark brown, i can be a platinum blonde by doing this. when you use toner next time, pick something a little milder since you've already tinted your hair.

You have to bleach the hair until it is a pale yellow and then you can put on a toner with the shade of blonde that you want .The color in the bottle of blonde tint that you put on your hair didn't look like you wanted it to because you have color in your hair . These colors are put on pale yellow hair so it is a shock when it doesn't turn out the way you think it will . Just make sure that you condition your hair after and don't leave the bleach on to long you don't want to break the hair .

If a salon is out of the question, go to a beauty supply store and pick up developer and toner (extra lift blonde). It's the same thing the salons use and you use it just like box dye.

Go to a professional to get your hair done hun. I see this time and time again...box dyes are BAD for your hair. You NEED to go to a hair dresser, she will fix your situation and give you good conditioning treatments.
Before going blonde, you usually have to strip your hair at a salon and then add bleach.
***One more thing, don't try re-dying it at home. Trust me. Box dye =disaster. Your hair will look like crap. I've boxed dyed my hair several times, and it was never pretty. However, I went to a professional salon after having my hair dyed black for 3 years and they gradually got it blonde. You don't go blonde in one day, that kills your hair!

Your hair is too dark to go blonde without bleaching it. You will have to go to a hairdresser and get it professionally attended to. It requires two-step processing which is too hard for you to do successfully at home. This will cost you a little; but you have two options: to go back to your own colour and start over; or to go blonde as you intended.
