Can you then explain why I am paying $2.49/gal. to heat my home and $2.57/gal of gasoline to run my car? If we're only fighting for oil, then I want my fair share so I don't have to pay these high prices anymore.

I for one believe the Iraq situation has alot to do with oil, and I know of senior military personnel who thought the same. Now if you were the government and wanted to oust a bug that was threatening a large chunk of the world's oil supply, what would tell the people? Hey were going in there to protect our interests or were gonna spread freedom and democracy to a group of oppressed individuals.

Because everybody else realizes that this claim was discredited years ago.
BTW - the only people who sympathize with the Iraqi people are the ones saying that we need to stay there until then can protect themselves.
Do you really want the Iraqi people to be ruled by the people who car-bombed those university students today?

War is fought until someone(s) wins or looses. In your own opinion? Who won the war?
To my opinion? There's no winner yet. So Americans will still at war until somebody wins or looses.
Doesn't matter what it's for, war sucks.

this war is over oil and bush was doing something with saddam because he flew bush out of the country the night before the planes were supposed to hit the pentagon and the twin towers. all these rednecks want to keep bush in office for lord knows why and hes the reason so many are dying or already dead on both sides! iraquis can protect themselves. we got saddam out of power and all our soldiers should be back home where they belong!!!

You are wrong, the war is not about oil, it is about the price of oil. With turmoil in the middle east the price goes up because buyers are speculating on the possible lose of supply, hence the large oil company's are making huge profits. That is why we are paying $2.50 a gallon right now and if we go into Iran we will be paying $ 4 or more.

for oil in order to stay at the top as the biggest economy in the world over the expense of the lives of others ( very pathetic and not to mention cruel), personal family vendetta with saddam( very unprofessional)

The reason we weren't getting oil from Saddam was because of sanctions we put in place. If we wanted his oil, all we had to do was ask. You'd think this would be obvious...........
