There are no angels; angels are imaginary, so your question doesn't work. Sorry.
As for Jesus rising into the sky, he didn't need wings cause he had helium.
I guess you were just trying to bring out the church people, well it worked. When you said "Are they just for looks" I knew you were just being funny.
Next time just ask a normal question, and don't humor the church people...

Angels and wings are symbolic. Flight in a pre-flight era was an incredible power. Flight to a society that does not have motion pictures is represented with wings. It is also representing greater freedom of movement. In fact, if there were some way to reconcile what we know between science and religion, I would say that the divine comes from "outside" the time-space continuum, so that angels might not only be able to easily traverse space with ease, but also time... Anyhow, they would be beyond the ken of your pre-modern era humans and anyone attempting to describe them would probably embellish to the extent of not getting stoned to death for sounding utterly crazy.

I have heard that the wings are different for the different levels of angels. I don't think they need them to be anywhere. Jesus crossed over like we all cross over, in my opinion. He was a human man, after all. How does that exactly happen? I don't know for sure but I like to think that it must be similar to the near death experiences that we have all heard about. A tunnel with a light and a feeling of utter peace.

Depends on the type of angel. Ezekiel describes one type that has three sets of wings. One set for flying, one to cover their eyes, and one to cover their body. Other angels (the majority) are human looking without any wings. Others appear as animals having wings.
So it depends on whether you are talking cheribum, seraphim, archangel, etc.

Human souls move and reach their destination instantly. Angels are higher souls. Christ is the Holy Spirit, the Creator of all souls. Wings for spiritual beings are only the imagination of primitive people.

Most angel don't have wings. Some in heaven do, these are the ones they stay near to God's throne.
Jesus is one with the father, his capacity is large, spiritual compassion, aura is very large.

Angels dont have wings. Jesus was taken into the heavens as did Elijah and Enoch. The difference being Jesus did noyt have to be translated for he was fully GOD and Fully man at the same time.

Your question does not need an answer really; have faith in Jesus alone, let the angels do whatever work they do but don't place any value or holiness on anything other than Jesus
