I got bangs a few weeks ago, and at first they looked great. But now, wheather I straighten them or not, they stand straight up (and won't lay on my face.) So I just end up pulling them back all the time, which defeats their purpose in the first place. Is there anything I can do? Thank you so much in advance.

to tell the truth, straightening usually adds more static to my hair. so when my mane is sticking up in odd places, i usually rely on a tiny dab of hair gel (lotion works here too), or hairspray. also, your hair might be lacking moisture, so you could try a special shampoo. almost every brand of shampoo has a special line just for extra dry hair. if that doesn't work, try massaging your locks with warm olive oil in the shower. hope this helps!

if your bangs are short and you straighten it, thats why its doing that. straighten to the angle you want it and just don;t straighten it at all. After you shower use a bobby pic or something to clip it down, you can even go to sleep like that, when you wake up it should go down. use mousse in the morning to hold them exactly where you want. You can even try to use a blow dryer to give it volume & shap so it lays on your face. i have bangs too and thats what i do.

Have you already tried all the products? Gel, hairspray, shine stuff, and all that? Gel should weigh it down enough to make them not stand straight up.

What if you tried curling them towards your face? Have you tried blow drying them in the direction you want them to lay?

You might need to add more hair to your bangs to make them heavier. Call your stylist to see what she recommends.

I sympathize. I had bangs for 25 years, and eventually got tired of them so I grew them out, which was a long, drawn out experience. But I'm glad I did it.

Good luck!

Ok i cut my own bangs. OH and hen i straighten them and they don't come out the way i want i put a clip and they will go flat and then i straighten them again but better. And if ur bangs are short thats why they are like that but don't let them grow too long.

Hair is weird you have to retrain it if you have a different hairstyle. Maybe until they lay by themselves you should try a styling product like gel. After a while they should start doing what you want them to do. Right after the shower make sure you take your hair is taken down and brush the bangs down so they will start laying.
