I recently gained 6 in. on my waist over about a year. I used to be in good shape. I have an indoor pool party coming up next month. I'd like to have somewhat visble abs by then but there is an incredibly large amount of fat on my lower belly. Im feeling the burn everywhere else on my stomach but the area that needs the most work. Do you guys have any exercise that can burn the fat and tone the lower belly? Thanks.

I recently gained 6 in. on my waist and Im trying to get somewhat visbile abs. Im going to an indoor pool party in 1 month. I used to have a six pack. The problem is I have so much lower belly fat. Im doing situps and crunches but not feeling the burn where I need it most. Any other abdominal exercises I could do that really work the lower belly?

the same things everyone else said, but here are some more.
-sit on the ground and turn your waist back and forth for about 20 minutes.
-leg lifts: these help your legs and your tummy. lay on the ground with your hands under your butt (trust me, you'll want to. but after you get used to doing these, you can take them out, and it will work your abs.) then you lift your legs 6 in. off the ground. after about 30 sec. it will burn. dont put your legs down. put them 90* of the ground, and hold it for 5 sec. then put them back to 6 in. and move them over/under each other, (constantly switching which leg goes where) for about 15 seconds. put your legs on the ground, and rest. then repeat the whole thing. it only takes about 2 minutes, but it works fast!

Have patience.
Please follow the following change in ur life style:
1. Eat only when hungry.
2. No more than three meals a day with nothing except water in between. The only exception being if u r diabetic.
3. Eat each morsel of food at least 32 times so that brain gets information from stomach and generates a signal that u have had enough.
4, Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly.
U will loose/gain gracefully to the desirable weight.

There is no such thing as spot reduction. To lose fat in one area you need a cardio workout. Crunches do upper abs, Leg Raises do lower.
Leg raise- Lie supine and just raise your legs about 2inches and hold. This is the best lower ab workout

Hello:
I would say that the following exercises would be helpful in toning your tummy area.
1. Sit Ups
2. Abdominal Crunches, these hurt but they work, trust me!
I hope this has been helpful and I am also trying to get into shape before summertime gets here!! ;-)

leg raises on an incline bench are by far the best. you dont need to bring your legs all the way down, just half way and rock them towards your head. you can bend your legs slightly, but only if you cant keep them straight. do these in the morning before breakfast, this is for maximun results. goodluck.

you can't spot reduce fat. ab training will strengthen the abdominal wall but has no effect on fat loss in that area. you need to clean up your diet and increase your current level of daily activity to decrease your body fat.

Pilates. Buy a windsor pilates tape. REALLY helped me and I am starting to see those cut lines on the side of my pelvis.
