Well If You Ask Me You Need To Make Windows Auto Change The Virtual Memory Min And Max To 4096 On Both Then Change The Loading Prioritys Of The Kernel To Optimize Boot Performance And Stability And As For The Graphics Well It Should Be Less Bloated Graphicaly And Should Automaticaly Dump Unused Dll's And Free Up Excess Memory In System Ram Instead Of Consuming It With Useless And Unneccesary System Proccesses That Have No Apparent Affect On The Kernal Or The Windows GUI Then Drop The Price Buy $200 USD Then Make It Fully Backwards Compatible

HI.
I was one of the many Beta2 and RC testers. I tested the Ultimate 64, it hogged too much memory and any kind of support was nonexistent......as it still is. I would get the memory usage down more, actually look at the forums on the net for some of your answers. Maybe even have some folks join them. I've found more people get there problems solved by that, than calling or relying on the Microsoft Help lines. And LISTEN to your public testers! Go look at all the posts of issues that your company never FIXED! I'm an avid fan of 64 bit computing and am using XP Pro x64 as my primary OS. I will not go to VIsta till you get the memory issue under control, at the least.

1.
Start by removing the un-needed crap.
take out media player, movie maker, mail, all the pop up warning sh*t, lose the ridiculous waste of resources that is the theme, lose the waste of time 3d emulation games, lose the shithouse file searcher, lose the crappy permission change system.
2.
Burn the lot and start over.
3.
Go over to a MAC reseller and see how an O/S should NOT be made and then try to make one on a level between these two.
4.
Make it like XP, this has it's problems, but also DOESN'T have the NEED for a minimum 20Gb HDD for the install, doesn't NEED a 3GHz MINIMUM CPU, doesn't NEED 2Gb RAM, and it doesn't need 3.4Gb to install itself, Vista Ultimate is bloated garbage, it has NOTHING in it that ISN'T in XP, except the headaches of scripted ****, and endless pop-ups.
A full system test was done by me,on a 3Ghz CPU, 512Mb Video,8.1 Channel Sound, a $2300 PC running all that it needs for 100% USAGE TEST, i shouldn't have needed to spend a cent to upgrade, save for O/S purchase price, but even this PC WONT run Ultimate without more hardware and software inclusions, beyond the DVD install.
And why are there so many driver issues? It's an NT platform same as XP, so why is it XP drivers dont work on it? It's another BULLSHIT failure area of Vista,if you install it on your PC, dont EXPECT anything like a printer or scanner or copier to work with it, it could take months for a driver to become available for anything you may wish to run, if at all !!...........i still have 6 scanner's that CANNOT be used at all by this Vista PC.
Close on $11,000 worth of PC, printers, full broadsheet scanner and more, NONE of which can be used by a Vista PC as yet......another of the Microsoft money maker schemes.
Make the NEW O/S uncompatible with all that came before, then everything you own will need replacement too.
AHHHH, Corporate America, last bastion of the thieving bastard !!
It's because like win95, win98, NT, win2k, and XP before it, Vista is full of holes, bugs and errors, intentionally left in it, so the need to BUY upgrades and patches will be going on for years to come.
Business in the land of the free, home of the brave, and shoddy business practices......................

you're able to get vista. vista is finally very mature. ms has released provider %. a million for it. vista is 1000's of cases extra acceptable than xp relatively whilst it comprises protection.

Vista does not run 16-bit dos programs.
The error message is, "This system is not capable of running in full screen mode" or something like that. I can't remember exactly.
That means that all your old games (example Warcraft 2) can't be played anymore!!!
I shouldn't need to go download dosBox or any other emulator to use all my old games. Vista should be able to run them by itself!
