we just bought a puppy today. It's a cairn terrier, male. You know the dog from the wizard of oz. Something not too comon, but not too crazy either.

Hopefully he will be with you for many many years. Give him a name you like now and will be able to repeatedly answer the question "Why do you name him that?"

Good choices are characters from a book or movie you like. A not well known middle name, or nickname from a close friend (you don't have to tell anyone else where you got the name, just smile).

Look up the meaning of the name. Pick something that is meaningful to you.

My new puppy is Lady Jasmine Jiju. She is small and white. I love Jasmine - a small white flower, and "Jiyu" is Buddhist for compassionate friend.

Chocolate Oreo? Or maybe that's a bit too crazy. Rocko? Brownie? Kane, Cane, or Cain? Scotty? Toto II? Skippy (for short Skip)? Playful (I heard they were playful)? Noisy (I heard they were noisy too)? Chocco? Cocoa? I've run out of names! Can't think of anymore...
