I live on Oahu, and this is a beautiful place.
Mostly, it's what you want to get out of your vacation.
Want to party like a rockstar? Stay in Waikiki. there's something going on every night. Everything's within walking distance, and you can always rent a car and wander the island if you get bored.
Want to relax? Go to Maui or Kaui. These are two of the most beautiful islands on earth.
Want to hike or explore? Check out the big island.
Not sure what you want? Island hop. Right now air fare to fly between islands is $40 a two way trip. The airlines also have island hopper packages for people who want to go wherever whenever. Try Aloha Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, or Go Airlines. They all have websites.

I've only been to Maui and the Big Island and I love both. Maui is the place to go if you don't mind a lot of tourists. You can drive on the Road to Hana which is a beautiful drive that leads you to a pretty little town. If you go to the Big Island, there will be less tourists and more nature to see. You can visit the area of Kona and some volcanoes on the Big Island. Both are beautiful places nonetheless.

Hawaii is one of the most beautiful and wonderful places on earth. If you will be there for two weeks, you probably want to visit two islands, not just one. But which ones? It depends on what you like. If you want lots of shops and people watching, definitely go to Waikiki. I love it there. If you like lying back and not doing much but enjoying the sun, maybe you'll like Maui or Kauai better, though they can be more expensive than Waikiki. If you like a lot of outdoor adventures like hiking in volcano country, the Big Island is a must see. And if you really like isolation with no big cities, then Molokai or Lanai are OK, though I don't recommend them for a first timer.

I love Hawaii, Oahu for the gathering place (Honolulu). In two weeks you have lots of options such as Boat cruises, lauas, night life or senenic tours. I would reccommend Waikiki hotels and ask the information tour guides for your preference enjoyments. Hawaii is so beautiful that two weeks will fly in a blink of an eye. To much to do in Hawaii, but be sure to ask about the our famous Lauas, Hiking tours, Swimming tours, and best entertainment in Waikiki...enjoy and A Hui Hou (until we meet again)

Hawaii is a wonderful place to vaction to, many great things to do and very beautiful, but also pricey, all though worth the expense. While in Ohau, please be sure to go to The Germaine's Luau. It is wonderful, and tons of fun, you learn how to do the hula. Best Wishes and Aloha! Happy vacationing in Hawaii!

i would try to fly aloha airlines...I would go to Maui...stay in Kehei..its sunny and dry and has beautiful beaches...I would stay at a place called Kamaole Sands and find a condo there online but try VRB (vacation rental by owner) to rent it. The pool is beautiful and so is the beach across the street...It has a very nice atmosphere...I have stayed there for 3 weeks..it is very very nice and not that expensive.
enjoy your trip!
