This is not to debate whether or not saturday is the true sabbath, because I know that it is. I just wanted to know of other Christians out there keep the biblical sabbath day, but are not seventh day adventists. What churches do you go to? or do you just stay home? Please do not answer w/a negative remark about the sabbath day.

I usually go to the SDA church, and try to ignore the error they try to present, and be polite in presenting Scripture. Occasionally I find a like minded fellow believer, and we can have a real bible study. Faith does not save a person. If you are helped, it is a gift, grace, of the Almighty YHVH. Most people have faith in something else, which cannot save. And in the end most people will choose to be lost rather than come to the Savior YAHOSHUA for salvation!

The Almighty YHVH set up a system. He sent His “Son” YAHOSHUA to die for the sins of mankind so they would not have to. (They could choose to, but did not have to). Any person who chooses not to allow Yahoshua to take care of their sins, chooses to remain attached to their sins. They thus will wind up in the lake of fire which is YHVH’s method of cleaning this world, and eliminating sin and sinners. The Creator set aside the Seventh day for rest and worship. Yes that is the day usually called “Saturday”. We are not saved by obedience, we are saved by faith. However we are saved FOR obedience. As He said in John 14:15 (and in many other places) “If you love me, keep my commandments.
The only thing that will change a person is the indwelling savior Yahoshua. Obviously that is rare in this sinful world.

Jews keep the Saturday Sabbath.

I believe it's Saturday. I have many other disagreements with local churches. Not a SDA. Also don't eat pork or shellfish. However when other Christians see that you follow these practices which are written, they get offended. Even though I don't push my beliefs on them.

Maybe the feel condemned.

All true Christians keep the Sabbath. When the Lord Jesus Christ comes into their hearts and lives, and they allow Him to be their God, they enter into His Sabbath from that day on. Forever more, they are in His Sabbath. At the coming of God's Kingdom, there will be only one day, the Sabbath, and it will be the eighth day because it will not be the Last Day, but the first day of the new beginning with a new Heaven, the New Earth with the New Jerusalem. From then on, no more weekdays, it stays that day forever.

Because of this, most Christians make the eighth day, the day after the Sabbath, the Lord's Day. This makes it the first day of the week of course. The Sabbath is still the seventh day, however, they are in God's Sabbath, which is a permanent state of being and not a day, or a date. This means all their days belong to the Lord and all days are therefore holy.

Still, man usually needs a rest from work, so the Sabbath is still kept, to various degrees, and added to it is another sabbath, the eighth day, the Lord's Day, which is the First Day of the week.

Being no more under the bondage of the law, and being under grace, many questioned if the sabbath day exists for the believer, to which Paul and the author of Hebrews (might be the one and the same) said that the Sabbath is entering into God's rest, so there is no more Sabbath day per se. Therefore, we are to no longer judge anyone about the holidays that they keep, or the sabbaths, because such things are between them and God.

So, in a way, in a huge way, most Christians keep two sabbaths, the Sabbath as a day of rest, and the Lord's Day, an entire day devoted to the worship and service to God. The SDA is different in that they do not dedicate days to the Lord and they bind themselves to the law, by which all shall be damned to hell (literally). Salvation comes only by the free gift of God, it is by grace so that no one can brag about their works, for no amount of works can get you to God.

Afterall, it's not about going to heaven or hell is it? It's all about going to God and entering into His eternal Rest, His Sabbath. Right?

If you are not in God's rest, God says today is the day for you to enter into it (by asking the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart to reign as your God).

Listen to God's Word, pay attention to "his rest", which is our Sabbath
Hebrews 4:1 ¶ Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
