Read and watch to see what has been happening and what is coming next. It will also make more sense out of what has been bothering you about policy, though it won't make you feel any better. The plan is to open the border with Mexico, not tighten it up. The article will explain that more.

If only Bush took the real problem of Narco-terrorism that is overwhelming our borderlands, and saw the same sense of adventure he has found in the Mideast, perhaps he would take the border problem more seriously.
Soon though we'll need an amnesty program for our own citizenry as wages and jobs go down the toilet for those in our inner cities especially. But oh no, we need to act as a safety valve for the corrupt and irresponsible rich of Mexico especially who can't be bothered to govern and care for their own. Good ol' Uncle Sam is there to bail out everyone except his own kin.

Most Americans are more concerned with who will be the
next American idol than with the problems this country faces.
Ted Kennedy and the other traitors in the US Senate are working now with members of racist, Hispanic organizations to give
amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. If this gets passed by the US
House too than that incompetent President George Lying Shrub
will sign it. It is not too late to stop these traitors. Check out the
message below by a political group in California. Please take a minute and sign the petition. Thanks.
Americans want to see our immigration laws enforced, not new legislation that provides citizenship to those who have broken our laws. We can reduce the population of illegal immigrants by attrition through enforcement. The 1986 amnesty was a failure that led to increased illegal immigration. Congress must not go down that road again. Increased immigration flows and leniency for illegals already in the country are exactly the wrong approaches to take to the immigration crisis that we face. We must secure our borders and go after the businesses that hire illegal aliens. The new amnesty and guest worker programs offered in the Kennedy-McCain bill will simply make the problem worse.
Nothing will prevent businesses from hiring new illegal aliens to replace those who are legalized this time. We know from the experience of other countries, that guest workers do not return to their country of origin. We must not believe that our only choice is between immediately deporting the millions of illegals and giving them amnesty. If we enforce our laws, the number of illegal immigrants will continually diminish through attrition. Many of them will voluntarily return as the supply of jobs is reduced.

Unfortunately, I must agree with the fact that Bush wnats amnesty, which I am totally against. This is what I can't understand: Bush has the balls to go into Afghanistan, Bush has the balls to go into Iraq, but Bush does not have the balls to stand up to worthless groups like the ACLU. And unfortunately until someone comes along and tells these groups do for the Americans this will not go away.

I don't think any politician will act on it. They are looking at the number of votes it could cost them (the supporters of illegal immigration, and the hispanic voters that feel this is a discrimination against them). I think that someone needs to begin to think of the economic strain on this country, and do something to fix it. Amnesty is not a fix; it's an encouragement for them to do it. It didn't work when Reagan did it in the 80's, and it won't work today. All it will do is fix it for the ones that are in this country illegally. Until someone steps up and toughens the stance on people that are enabling illegal immigrants to get into/remain in this country, then it will continue until this country becomes a third-world country and can't support the number of people in it using its resources. What are they all going to do when the resources are all gone from this country, and it is just like what they left?

Why are you so afraid of immigrants? Are you afraid they will take your job, because if that is the case then maybe you should work harder. When immigrants come to this country, most don't know the language, so if an immigrant does better than you at a job interview and doesn't speak a word of english-what did you so to the interviewer to not get the job, all you needed to say was hello.
