You could have a party with the theme of his prime time in lif. Which might be the 30's, 40's, 1950's. Everyone come dressed that way, the kids tell the price of things at that time. The ladies wear their hair the way the women did. The men dress the way the men dressed at that time. But anything over 72 is a blessing. Do you not think that a family gathering would not bring smiles to his face.

you have gotten a social gathering with the priority count of his precise time in lif. Which possibly the 30's, 40's, 1950's. absolutely everyone come dressed that way, the young little ones tell the cost of concerns on the 2nd. the ladies positioned on their hair the perfect way the ladies did. the boys dress the perfect way the boys dressed on the 2nd. yet some ingredient over seventy 2 is a blessing. Do you presently no longer evaluate that a miles better half and young little ones gathering could now no longer positioned across smiles to his face.

I agree with the dressing up in theme ideas but go one step further. I'd see if I could get a vintage car to take him out to lunch or something then get all the family & friends to come over all dressed up. Then when the car brings him back he has everyone there waiting for him all decked out in vintage fashion. If it's too hard finding the vintage clothing I'd just get everyone to come over and as they come in they have to pick a question out of the hat and answer it on video. (like your favourite childhood memory with him/ the grossest thing you ever saw him do) it will be a great memory keepsake for many many years to come.

Have you seen that commercial where the guy asks his buddy what to get his grandmother?
Buddy says: get her a gigalo.
Family party makes this hard but it would show him you're thinking about him.
But... not a gigalo right... Unless grandpa goes that way.

if you've always given him a party, why not give him a fishing trip to kodiak alaska. catch a big halibut. look up rasberry island lodge. there are 80 year old skippers on vessals catching your alaska salmon,...so age should not be an issue, give him a charge to his battery

Theme it, have everyone dress as though they would have when he was in his prime....so think 1930's or 40's.
