I want to burn a copy of a dual layer DVD with Nero, but doing a direct copy from DVD-to-DVD hasn't seemed to work for some reason (I've ruined 2 DVD+R DL already, and yes my burner is Dual-Layer compatible). So my other option would be to copy the contents of the DVD to my hard drive and then burn that image onto a blank a dual layer DVD. However, I do not know what to use or how to copy the contents directly to my hard drive to be burned later. What can I do to copy the contents of this dual layer DVD and then burn them onto another dual layer DVD in an easy way?

Hi there. what i do is copy the movie to harddrive using the free program called dvdfab decrypter which you can get from dvdidle under the heading free stuff [lower right hand side}. Then you can run it through dvd shrink which you can get rid of any chunk that you dont need in the movie. And yes that is also free which is great. Then lastly i burn it to disk with a program called imgburn , and that is also free. And now with imgburn you can burn dual layer movies , all you have to do is set where you want to make the break, and bingo done. You can also get the instructions on how to do that from the site or you can get them from a website called afterdawn. That site is great if you need help and it also has software which you can use . Hope that helps.
