I've been to Belize twice, mainly in Belize city and San Pedro on Ambergris Caye.

The weather is fairly hot, but tolerable. I found the people, overall, to be very friendly and laid-back (especially in San Pedro). Belize City is a bit of a rough town though, so take taxis and watch your back.

Most of the people I've met in Belize speak English, although French and Spanish are very common as well.

The food is yummy and the SCUBA diving is terrific.

I love Belize.

I am going next week for my honeymoon. The temp this time of year in Belize City typically ranges from 75-90 for daytime temps and 65-75 for evening temps however it will vary depending on what part of the country you go to. There will most likely be differences in weather and temp from the mountainous regions to the coastal areas and it also varies depending on the time of year.

We are planning on staying in the Hopkins area which was named friendliest village in Belize or something like that. I have heard that they are friendly to foreigners as they are trying to build eco-tourism. It is a beautiful country and I cannot wait until I am lieing on the beach next week there : )

hi... my husband and i along w/ our two kids have been to belize twice during 2 seperate cruises. the weather is tropical pretty much all year around. the people are very nice and accomodating in general. there are great things to do there: we went tubing along a shallow river through bat caves, visited a huge iguana sanctuary (these iguanas as big as medium-sized dogs!) and there were also sloths in the trees everywhere. the beaches are beautiful! as we were driving, we stopped and a native cracked open coconuts and we drank the milk! all in all it is a great place to visit.

the weather is hot and the people are very poor. Belize is basically a run down slum village on a beautiful coast. The cruise lines are starting to go there so I guess they are going to try and build it up. It looks like that will take a good 10 to 15 years.
