First of all, if you are eating a "healthy" diet you don't need vitamin supplements. But let me define what a healthy diet looks like: A "plant based" diet comprised of 90% fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts and seeds and out of that 70% should be "raw" as in uncooked. 10% can be healthy snack foods, meats/seafood if you choose (not necessary), or comfort foods containing higher amounts of fat. Eliminate all dairy products. Dairy products are not "health foods" as the American Dairy Council would like you to believe. For more info go to The Physician's Committee for Responsible Medicine's website or Dr. Joel Furhman's Website and do a search.

Calcium tablets will not help your knees, nor will drinking extra cow's milk. The calcium in cow's milk is only 32% absorbable. The calcium in fruits and vegetables are 80%+ absorbable. Drinking more water will help your joints. It is possible you are one of the 75% of Americans who are dehydrated on a daily basis. You need to drink at least half your weight in ounces.

If you are taking the pill to regulate your periods consider stopping. If you are taking it because you are sexually active, consider whether he is worth all the chemicals you are dumping in your body that could result in health issues later in life.

Any standard multi-vitamin will do. You are only 17......no need to worry about extra calcium. You should get plenty from dairy products. And calcium is not gonna help sore knees.

The calcium is doing nothing for you if it doesn't have vit D in it. But you really don't need any supplements, that's just an easy way to OD on vit and min.

See this site to see it is better to get nutrients from food and not from vitamin pills.
