what kind of cats do i have?

My 2 1/2 year old cat has black hair and it is short haired. My other 10 year old cat has very long black hair with long grey whiskers.......i know that isn't too much info but try to help!.........thank you

yellow eyes ........face not too skinny not too fat...........medium overall size..........one black long haired.........one black short haired

Just going on what you are saying.. I would say you have a domestic shorthair (DSH) and a domestic longhair (DLH).
What color eyes do they have?? What do their faces look like (round, smushed, pointed).

You need to provide a little more information, like the size of the cats, if they are big breeds, what there faces look like......flat faces or rounded or a regular face what color eyes? Any other things about the cats that make them stick out? You can try looking in a cat book at Barnes & Noble.

its most likely some kind of mutt cat - you know mixed breed. but it is impossible to be able to tell by their color, you would need a picture at least. I'll bet there are millions of different breeds of black cats, long and short hair.

Sound like domestic tabbies - one would be shorthair, the other probably medium.
