If you consume a large quantity of pop, then quitting will result in weight loss. Soda contains alot of useless calories and anytime you cut caloric intake you'll lose weight.

I use to drink 12 cans of pepsi a day. I cut that out and started drinking water, walking 30 mins a day and I stopped eatting after 7. I have been doing this for a month and I haven't lost one pound. So drink all the pop you want... I'm still trying to figure out how to lose the weight

Not drinking soda definitely does work because all of those added calories and sugar in soda drastically effects your calorie and sugar levels. If you give soda up for a month, I believe that you will see good results. The effect of the results depends on how often you drink soda normally (you will see more of a difference if you normally drink soda every day instead of drinking soda once a week). Good luck with losing the weight!

ppl who drink regualr pop
take in way more calories than needed
if u cut that out u can drop weight if ur not drinking something else to make up for those calories
drink diet pop if u wanna drink pop
and lots of water .. water helps so much with weight loss

theres caffeine in pop and caffeine helps you to lose weight, but at the same time it has sugars and stuff that arent healthy for you and if you drink a lott you may gain weight. My stepmom is trying to lose weight and she drinks like 6 cans of diet coke a day and she seems to not be losing any weight. So its probably better to not drink it if your trying to lose weight!

if u stop drinking pop with sugar, then, yes, u will lose weight.... a simple switch to diet pop would be the answer... or if u want to be even more healthy, try green tea.....
pop contains HUGE amounts of sugar, which your body burns for energy, it will use this sugar instead of using your body fat for energy... thus, u will never lose any weight... because your body fat is not being burned.... it burns the sugar instead...

i think it does because pop has soooo many unnecessary calories. Not drinking pop cuts a lot of calories out of your diet, that is if you drink an excessive amount. if you only drinka a can or two it prolly wont do that much by itself. nevertheless proper diet and exercise work best.

Considering all the junk that in soda, i can see how it would help to stop drinking it, but always, diet coupled with good exercise is the best way to lose weight.

only if you were drinking pop (non diet) before, regularly.. and that if you stop, you don't replace it with calories from somewhere else. Pop has a lot of calories, and if you regularly consumed it, and then stopped consuming thsoe calories, you would gradually lose weight (assuming you were at a constant weight while regularly consuming pop)

Yes, Each 20oz coke is two and a half servings. Each serving has 100 calories. So if you drink cokes all day you have used up a big portion of your recommed daily intake of calories, So you have more calories because you still eat. So yes it helps to not to drink them.
