I'm not religious, I wish I was. But I just need proof that God exists, you know? But that's another story.

But some days I often wonder what God thinks about us. I mean if you think about it everything we do in life is not that good. I mean we lie (a sin), we get angry (a sin), we commit the sin of Gluttony, and people are completely lazy (a sin), etc. I mean we do so much so wouldn't we all go to hell?

So I often wonder this. What do you think?

God knows everything before we do...He knows what our every response will be so He is not surprised by our sin. He just wants our fellowship. He wants to enjoy His creation...each creation He loves. There is nothing we can do that will impress the creator of the universe so it is not by our actions that we enter eternal life but through Jesus and that might be too easy for some to comprehend.Yes, we need to be more passionate about life and that happens by associating with passionate people. God is pleased with us...even when we are covered in dirt.

You are right. We all deserve Hell, we cannot live up to Gods standard, which is absolute perfection. If we offend at only one point of Gods law, we have broken the law, we have disqualified ourselves. Even our "righteous" deeds are like used menstrual rags in the sight of God.That is the the degree of His holiness. But even so, God loves us, and He is mindful that we are but dust, and He sent His Son to take the punishment for our sin. God is not willing that any perish, but that all come to repentance. But we must agree with Him that we are indeed sinners and in need of forgiveness, accept the gift of salvation , and turn away from sin and follow God and His ways.God will gift us with His own righteousness if we turn to Him.Of course, there are many who have no interest in righteous living, they are a righteousness to themselves,"self-righteous".If you mean business, God will make Himself real to you, but He will not force Himself upon you.The choice is completely yours. Will you pay for your own sin, or accept a payment that has already been paid? Jesus paid a debt He did not owe, because we owed a debt we could not pay.

Yes, its true that we all sin. The good part is that God knows that. It says in the Bible "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the word through him." (John 3:6-7)

God knows we are sinful. Through the Old Testament in the Bible, priests had to sacrifice bulls and lambs to God so that he would forgive them. Jesus is God's son, the apple of his eye. And Jesus was obedient to his Father, and he died on the cross so that we could draw near to Him. Jesus' death on the cross was the final, holy, perfect sacrifice.

God loves you so much. One saying I adore is "God accepts you the way you are, and loves you too much to leave you that way."
When you accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour, God slowly but surely changes you. You become more like him, don't want to sin, want to stay close to him and worship him because he is AWESOME! His love is better than life.

We were created by God for His Glory.

God bless you!!

I was educated in a convent as a Roman Catholic and am afraid to say it has put me off religion for the rest of my life.

I rather like this litte poem ...

When God made the earth & sky & all the flowers & trees
He then made all the animals & all the birds and bees
And when his work was finished , not one was quite the same
God said "I'll walk this earth of mone and give each one a name"

And so he travelled land & sea & everywhere he went
A little creature followed him until its strength was spent
When all were named upon the earth & in the sky and sea
The little creature said "Dear Lord, there's not one left for me".

The Father smiled & softly said "I've left you 'till the end
I've turned my own name back to front & called you DOG my friend"

I was in your exact position until dec of 2006. I used to think God hated me because everything that can go wrong in my life did. and I told my friends friend that I want to believe in God and asked why are all these bad things are happening and she said when you stray away from God Satan comes in and makes all these bad things happen. the next night i accepted jesus in my heart and you know what now when something happens im not alone and God is with me now and makes it a lot easier. infact my life did a 180 since i said that prayer and satan does attack me but it doesnt do anything because i pray and god stands with me and makes the mental pain go away.
when you accept jesus in your heart your sins are forgiven, God gets happy when someone who wasnt a believer comes to him and asks him for help. If you need to talk more email me.

God knows that we were created from dust and that we all inherited sin from Adam and Eve. He also knows that Satan and all his demons walk among us daily and do all manner of things to tempt and deceive us. Therefore, he is understanding and sympathetic to our situation. However, he also knows that he created us in his image (with potential to be loving and kind and just and humble, etc.) and he is watching for those things to flourish and grow in our personalities. We have several strikes against us but nothing which cannot be fixed permanantly with his help. He is in our corner, urging us to make the very best of all that we have and all that we can be. It is up to us not to disappoint him and throw away all the blessings which he still has in store for those who are willing to conform to his will.

You say you don't believe in God, but you make statements about supposed sins. I believe God exists.......a loving and FORGIVING Father. Forgiving doesn't mean we can cast aside our mistakes and say He will forgive, but we should know if we seek true forgiveness, it is there for the taking.

As far as the sins....think abou this. We are spiritual beings and maybe having a physical body weighs the soul down. Which makes us tired (lazy, it's why we need to sleep so we can reinvigorate), not making excuses, but we do make mistakes....

In everything I do I am careful to try to please God. God knows everything I do and because I love my Lord, I want to please Him.

King David asked the same question. In Psalm 8:3 & 4 David said, "When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained,
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man that thou visits him?"

When I listen or read about the universe and how it lends to the thought of the entire universe was made just for the earth, I wonder what made God love us so much. I'm sure when He sees some of us trying to destroy ourselves with drugs or just terrible lifestyles that He hurts. When Lazarus died in the Bible it said, "Jesus wept." I often wonder the same thing, but God's word says "He doesn't want any to perish." And Jesus went to the cross of Calvary so we wouldn't have to go to hell and we could have eternal life with Him. God just asked that we take Him at His word and believe on Jesus Christ's death, burial and resurrection and we shall be saved. It is His Word, His story, His Bible and there is no book like it. May the Lord reveal Himself to you.

i believe God is pretty straight forward on how He feels about us..
you said you're not religous but,i am and in the bible it talks in the new testament about Jesus dying for us and rising from the grave...all we are to do is accept and believe in this and that's all He expects of us in order to have ever lasting life

of course if you believe you will automatically try to live your best and be an example to the world

so,we donot go to hell when all else is in place and God knows we are only human and not perfect that's why Jesus was crucified

not trying to push my beliefs on you this is my knowledge of my life w/ God and as far as proof as to His existance i believe we are proof just look at creation all around you......
