you mean some guy with a pitchfork, horns, and cloven hooves running around with a briefcase full of 'soul contracts?'...of course, not... that's no more than a cartoon character...but Christ believed there was an 'evil one'...the same being that tried to tempt Christ into bowing down before him...and as a Christian, i've found nothing else in Christ's teachings that was false, and i believe what He said about this, also

How can you say that?? He just urged you to ask this question.!! Whether you believe something is real or not, has no bearing on it's validity. I'd say since God knows everything, created everything, than when He claims satan is real in His Word, that's the final answer!!

Yes. Satan is a concept. I don't believe in a real evil being called Satan.

I'd say we don't have scientific proof of him/her/it.

At the same time, it is one of the basic foundations of science that you cannot disprove the existance of something without exhaustive testing. Since we cannot go everywhere in the universe, and test everywhere and everywhen, we cannot say, "Satan isn't real". We can only say, "We have no proof for Satan's existence, yet."

The belief that Satan that doesn't exist (yes, it is a belief, you have no proof) is a religious belief. The burden of proof is on those who say he does exist, assuming they wish to prove his existance to others scientifically.

THEY DON'T! They have merely stated their belief, no more irrational or rational than yours.

If you can prove your belief that Satan does not exist. Then I will share that idea. Otherwise, it is a belief, and I shall continue to know what I already do, and others will believe what they wish.

I'm agnostic as far as God is concerned.

But, with Satan.. I'm atheist (I know that Atheism is specific to God--but I cannot find another word to describe that I disbelieve in Satan's existence --is there such a word? Maybe I should make one up--hmm.. asatanistic? I don't know--I'm just rambling here... ) I do not believe there actually exists a supreme evil spirit.
