About 40 km West of Victoria on the beautiful, scenic Highway 14. Just past Sooke. These are remote places, yet pretty close to Victoria. I don't think there is bus service, if there is it would be a small independent company. GVR Transit will get you as close as Sooke, bus 61 Sooke, leaves downtown about every hour and takes and hour. That still leaves you 10 km's short. A taxi 10 km's out and 10km's back and you might as well rent a car. Renting a car from Victoria would be my recommendation.

Gordon's Beach is located just outside Sooke. Sooke is serviced by one bus route that runs from Western Exchange in the Westshore Communities. Buses regularly run from downtown Victoria and other southern Vancouver Island communities to Western Exchange. From the BC Ferries at Swartz Bay, take Bus 70 to downtown Victoria, then Bus 51 to Western Exchange, then Bus 61 Sooke. There is also an Express 61 Sooke right from downtown Victoria. Timetable information is available by phoning Busline, 382-6161, press 0 to speak with an agent or press 61 (for the route number 61 Sooke/Downtown) .
From Sooke, you will need a car or taxi to get right to the beach.

Driving Directions
From Downtown Victoria: Take Hwy #1 (Island Highway) north to Exit 10 (Hwy 14). Follow Hwy 14 (Sooke Road) through the neighbouring Westshore communities until you drive through Sooke. Go through all the traffic lights to continue on West Coast Road. Drive for 10-15 minutes until you reach Otter Point Road; turn right.
