Which group, belief, etc. would you say is the most criticized in the Religion & Spirituality section and has to step up their arguments more to get through to the others?

Could you describe some examples?

I think Islam is the one most criticized. Muslims say constantly it is a peaceful religion but are hard put to prove it by the Qu'ran.

That is a really execellet question.

According to CNN only 1-3% of the population is atheist in the U.S. That's the smallest group here, I think (unless someone can correct me if I am wrong.) To tell you the truth, everyone here is on the defense. I'm on the defense of those who don't believe in a religion mainly because I feel that there are people out there that want to try and convert me and make me do something I don't believe in. But also, I'm in defense of... how do you put it... of letting humans be humans. Basically, freedom of religion from peers. Everyone is equal. That's the same for racism, why can't it be for religion?

For religion, there are so many religious conflicts on this forums and constant questions about why certain groups camp out here. There's shouting, screaming, bashing, name calling, etc. We all preach peace but no one will follow suit...

A tie between atheists and creation believing christians.

Both seem to get the largest amount of "you're stupid" type of messages and rantings.

The creationists get mocked for being dumb, or for suporting Hitler... the atheists get nailed for being a religion they say their not and supporting evolution.

Strangely, they seem to get it from the other group.

Muslims, jews, wiccans, pagans, hindu and other groups that visit get very few attacks in comparison.

There is alot of hatred aimed at the Atheists, and they are really cleaver, fun loving people if you don't attack them!

They're so cute! ; )
