I don't know. I vaguely remember hearing it explained before, but would appreciate hearing it again.

Being forgiven for sin does not take away the consequences of that sin. A person may even be forgiven for murder but may still spend the rest of their life in jail. The consequences of Adam's sin still affects us to day, and will affect people for all eternity. The one thing that god wants people to understand is the seriousness of sin. Most people think of sin too lightly and we often pay serious penalty for that attitude..

Because he ate from the tree of "the knowledge of good and evil". Once he ate from this tree God could not let him live forever because He had told him that if he ate from this tree he would surely die. And so it had to be. If Adam had continued to live in the Garden of Eden, he would have lived forever. Sin did not exist in Eden until Adam and Eve disobeyed God.

Who said Adam was forgiven? If Adam was forgiven, we'd all be perfect humans! He can never be forgiven, because he wasn't imperfect. He chose to sin. We are forgiven because we are imperfect and it is instilled in our DNA. Since we are the descendants of Adam, we all have his DNA, and therefore...
He was kicked out because as a punishment, he had to start working for a living.

Adam wasn't forgiven. He was put under a curse of the Lord. For eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
"Lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and live forever." -Genesis 3:22.
It was this reason he sent him forth from the garden (v23)

The curses came as a result of sin and the fall of man ensued. Adam and Eve should be happy they werent struck down that day. The penalty for sin is death.

Just because God forgives you doesn't mean that there aren't any consequences to your actions. The same thing goes with humans. You may do something to me personally that really hurts me. I may forgive you, but that doesn't mean that you still have my trust, and that doesn't mean that I stop hurting (like, if you shot me in the leg..that's gonna be painful for a while).

He still had to pay the price for His sin. Consequences were told before hand.
