I have a ten year old female cat who wakes up at around 4am every morning. she jumps up on my cd player which creakes loadly and stretches on the wall to get my attention. So i have to get up half alseep and let her out. I dont like letting her out that early in case she fights with other cats (and im not a morning person!)
She always wants to go outside at night too, i think shes got a boyfriend :)
How do i stop this?

It's best to not let your cat outside at all. Indoor cats have a longer life expectancy and are often healthier, since they are not exposed to other possibly diseased cats. And please spay her if you are going to let her out, but don't declaw her, she needs them for defense.
But anyway, if you want to stop your cat from waking you up at early hours, you have to stop giving in to her demands. Stop letting her out when she demands it and shoo her from your room if she makes noise. Then close your door. It will take a few times before she gets the hint sometimes, but you'll be rewarded for your patience with uninterrupted sleep. You might also need to get a spray bottle with water to squirt her when she gets noisy. Good Luck!!!!

she is only doing what you let her do :) cats are willful creatures (love em) and will continue to test who is boss. be inventive. put a pillow on top of the CD player. but yeah letting her out at that time of day is not good because that is the time when they hunt if this has been allowed.

you don't say if she is desexed but this would be a good thing to have done immediately :)

but yes basically be stronger willed than she is :D and good luck :D

Why would you let your cat roam free outside? Cats are perfectly happy staying indoors 24/7 . With all the diseases and strange people who love to harm cats out in this world again I ask why in the world let her out? Is she spayed if she is trust me she has no boyfriend. Did you know Feline Leukemia virus is kitty aids. If you love keep her in where it's safe and warm.

Oh the woes of naughty felines! My cats both kept me up at all hours of the night. They loved pouncing on my head. I got them nice kitty beds and kept them in their own room. They are now on schedule and I have peaceful nights!

dont let your cat outside. I was very strict w/ my cat and so now he never goes outside. Now that she has a taste of the outside, it might be hard to wean her off the outdoors.

Don't get up and let her out and after awhile see what she does when you stop doing this. She will either change or she will get worse and you will have to get up and let her out.
