To save your bum
Tie a rope to something high. If you have a harness use that, otherwise loop the rope around under your arms(watch for rope burns). Set the rope length so that is just long enough for you to stand (off the unicycle). When you get on you will have enough slack to ride around in a circles.

I have a unicycle and my seat doesnt move, I'm not sure what you mean....
Wait, do you mean the "seat moves" when the wheel flips out from under you? That's due to lack of balance. It takes a lot of balance to ride one. Good luck and practice where you'll have a semi-soft landing (broken tailbone...twice!).

It just takes patience and perseverance to get the hang of it. But once you do its just like...riding a bike, u never forget
