Hmmm, that's a really good question.
The easy thing to say is that it matters b/c guys are visual and the right kind of outfit will get you attention. But then for keeping attention from one guy it should depend less and less on how you dress the longer you go out.
He's going to know what you got soon enough so putting it in the shop window won't make him like you any more. That's where personality and compatibility and understanding come in.
He will still want you to dress up sometimes just to fire him up or make him proud of you, but that won't be as important as being you on the inside.

yes if u dress like a s.l.u.t then boys will think u r easy and try and have sex and then move on if u look to snobby and sophistcated they might not even try and just give up and if u r just the type of girl who dresses nice and cool and happen 2 have a good bocy like myself(cough cough) then boys will want 2 get with u cuz ur like warm/nuetral bot 2 snobby but not 2 easy either

Yes, of course. No guy wants agirl that wears dirty clothes. She doesn't have to wear all name brand stuff, but try to wear clothes that fit.
I hate it when girls try to wear those cut off shirts or hip hugger jeans when they have too much belly. If the belly isn;t flat then wear something to cover it. Many men aren't so picky as to turn you down if you have a little belly, or even to be turned off by it. But they don't want to date a girl that everyone makes fun of behind their back.
And most guys like to look at girls who dress really sexy, but only the most childish guys would actually want to be seen with her.

It affects the guys initial opinion. So yes. If it is a relationship and becomes a long term thing it won't mean AS MUCH, but it still means something.

Well I am not a guy but you see more preppy little girls that wear hollister and american eagle [[not that there is anything wrong with those girls b/c i am kinda one of them ♥]] but you see more of those girls with bfs then girls that dont wear make up and wear stuff like sweat pants from K-Mart with bfs.
** Some people cant afford anything exept Kmart and WallMart and I am not trying to have anything against those people. **

You know it does. Not just to guys but to girls too. It should matter to you how you look as well. Not who you have on, but how clean is it, did you iron it. Accessories really help anything, and they are real cheap. Dollar stores sell the cutest costume jewelry that really accent your whole look.

I don't really care about how a girl dresses, but I don't want her to be a big slob. Casual is ok. I do care if she's pretty. Sorry but that's the truth.

it depends on how cute they are, if you dress ugly and your fine then theres a 50-50 chance that persons yours to keep. but if your just butt ugly then u dont have a chance. If your a clean dressing person then theres a 40-50 percent chance you got a date!
